Hundreds of people gathered Sunday for the second annual Back to Brooklyn Heart Walk.
The walk, sponsored by the American Heart Association, brought awareness and raised money to combat a disease that kills more people than any other illness.
The walk started in Cadman Plaza and went through DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights.
Walkers of all ages participated in the event to support loved ones who survived or passed away from heart disease or a stroke.
Doctors say that exercising, eating healthy and quitting smoking are a few things people can do to help prevent heart disease.
