Police are searching for the individual who shot and killed a man delivering free meals to the elderly Monday morning.
Police say the fatal shooting happened inside the lobby of a housing complex in Brownsville at around 10 a.m. when the victim, Iminol Aminov, was making a routine Meals on Wheels delivery. Aminov was shot once in the chest and died later at Brookdale Hospital.
?There?s a few of us out here [who are] willing to help the community, and for something like this to happen is a real bad loss,? says neighbor Tracy Steward.
Investigators spent Tuesday morning searching for clues and dusting the crime scene for fingerprints. So far, no arrests have been made.
The suspect is described by police as a man in his 20s who was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. Anyone with information about the fatal shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
