A mother is still determined to find her daughter's killer more than two years after she was murdered in Brooklyn.

Sabrina Morena, 21, was fatally shot while walking with her boyfriend on Van Siclen Avenue in East New York on Oct. 5, 2018.

Investigators believe Moreno's killer may have been her ex-boyfriend, but her mother Silma Jones believes it may have been someone else.

"I just don't want to give up, and I need someone to help me," Jones says.

Moreno was living in a women's shelter in Sunset Park when she died, and Jones says her daughter got caught up with the wrong people in the wrong area.

Jones say she has been emailing and calling police frequently, but hasn’t received much of a response on her daughter's case.

Moreno's mother even attaches photos of her daughter so investigators don't forget her face.

"I just want somebody to hear me and put my daughter's case back out there because somebody knows something," Jones says.

Police say the investigation is still active and ongoing.

Jones tells News 12 she wants to take matters into her own hands by traveling from her residence in Rochester to Brooklyn to post flyers to help solve her daughter's murder.

There is a $10,000 reward for the case.
