A Bronx teen has now been missing for a week, leaving her family distraught, and doing everything they can to find her before this week's snowstorm.
"I just want her to come home and be safe," says Kyasia Gibbs, the sister of Myasia Gibbs, who went missing a week ago in Mott Haven.
The 18- and 15-year-olds share a room. Kyasia Gibbs got worried when her younger sister took the trash out Tuesday evening and never came home.
Myasia Gibbs' family put out missing posters all over the borough, from Soundview and Hunts Point, to their Mott Haven neighborhood.
Her mom says she is a bright person, and very smart.
This situation is especially upsetting with the snowstorm on the way, because News 12 has learned that she went out in pajamas and slippers, and doesn't have any coat or winter gear.
Police say she was last seen wearing blue and black sweats, a black du-rag and black slippers. While the NYPD doesn't have any leads, community members formed a search party last weekend and have another one planned for this Saturday.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
