? On the deadline day for repairs to be made to a Sunset Park building on 46th Street, injuries and arrests are dimming hopes that their building will be repaired on time.
Tenants have refused to pay rent until their repair demands are met. They say the building has faulty electrical work, missing handrails, trash build-up and hot water problems.
The landlord, Orazio Petito, sent crews to make repairs but a fight broke out between tenants and the building's super leaving one tenant hospitalized and the super and another tenant in handcuffs for assault.
Repairs must be made today or the city says it will take over the building. The building is currently in foreclosure, and the owner could lose the building within a month.
