It seems as though the Islanders’ departure from Brooklyn can't come soon enough.
The governor and team officials announced today that starting this fall, the Islanders will begin playing some of their home games at the Nassau Coliseum while still playing at Barclays Center.
The split in home games will continue until the team's new home arena adjacent to Belmont Racetrack is completed in three years.
The Islanders played their home games at the Coliseum from 1972 to 2015 before they moved to Barclays Center.
