Italian residents in Gravesend gathered for a few their favorite fish at Octopus Garden Thursday.
Many Italian-Americans celebrate Christmas Eve with the Feast of the Seven Fishes, but the Gravesend business is actually serving nine fishes.
Vinnie Cutrone, who owns the family-run establishment, says his staff has been working around the clock to help people stock up for the feast.
Although many customers came in to pick up fish from cod to eel and even octopus, some told News 12 that the best part about the feast is time spent with family during the traditional Christmas celebration.
