The Long Island University Blackbirds are not only leading the Northeast Conference, but the basketball team has now earned a national ranking.
The Blackbirds are No. 21 in the latest College Insider Mid-Major Top 25 poll thanks to an unblemished 8-0 record in conference play this season, a first in its school's history.
The players are also coming off a nine-game winning streak and a 14-6 overall record.
