The coach that led LIU Brooklyn to back-to-back trips to the NCAA basketball tournament is parting ways with the school for another gig.
Jim Ferry will be coaching at Duquesne.
After coaching in Brooklyn for almost a dozen years, Ferry says it was the right time to leave and that he had the full support of LIU, including athletics director John Suarez.
Ferry says Suarez told him, ?Jimmy you have to go. You work so hard in your profession and here?s your chance. There?s nothing more you can do here, you left us with two championships.?
