A Suffolk County business is helping teams and organizations show their pride, both on and off the field. From sticks to gloves to custom hats, Amity Harbor Sports in Amityville has everything athletes need.

For co-owner Rachel Williams, though, sports weren’t always part of her world. “The family I am married into has always been into sports. My husband plays hockey, my father-in-law plays hockey. I am not as great an athlete.” That family connection led Rachel and her husband Mike to help grow a business that’s been serving Long Island since 1980. They have clients from near and far, including Canada.

What started as a traditional retail sporting goods store has evolved over the years. “We started as a retail sporting store and really migrated into a custom apparel business,” said Williams. They create custom apparel for sports teams, schools, restaurants, nonprofits, gyms, and local brands.

Now, they’re designing, printing, and stitching more than just team gear. From small businesses to community events, even one-of-a-kind orders, their work goes far beyond the field. “Anyone who needs custom apparel, custom merch, we can do it all,” said Williams.
