Tuesday marked National Cancer Survivors Day and Maimonides Health took the day to celebrate survivors from right here in Brooklyn.
The event, now in its 18th year, included a fun-packed day with music, food and entertainment.
"It’s a big help, it kind of renews your faith and life and what you have to do and get up in the morning. It’s wonderful," said cancer survivor Maureen Kadrei.
News 12's Daniella Rodriguez was there and spoke with health care workers and survivors.
