The subfreezing streak has ended with nine consecutive days. However, temperatures remain below normal over the next several weeks. A storm system will stay South of the area tonight, bringing a few clouds to the city and keeping snow chances low.
Another storm system arrives Friday late afternoon bringing a strong push of arctic air, a chance of snow showers and gusty winds. Accumulating snow is unlikely with this storm, but brief low visibility is possible. Behind the front lies dangerously cold temperatures in the teens and single digits with sub zero wind chills.
