Police say a man has been arrested for a $35,000 scam surrounding dirt from the old Yankee Stadium.

According to investigators, Mark Hayward, of Connecticut, told the victim that he'd use the money to market key chains that contained dirt from "The House that Ruth Built." Hayward also claimed that he would sell the souvenirs to Steiner Sports.

Hayward has been charged with larceny and forging bank letters.
