Police say a man was attacked with a hammer Monday while buying a lottery ticket in Downtown Brooklyn.
They say two men were arguing on Bond Street at around noon when one pulled out a hammer and hit the other in the head. Witnesses say an undercover officer quickly came by, stopped the altercation and took the two men away.
The victim was taken to a local hospital and is in stable condition.
The victim was charged with menacing. The suspect was charged with assault.
