A man is dead after he was shot in the chest near the Farragut Houses Wednesday night on York Street.
Police have identified the victim as 27-year-old Melquain Henderson.
They say it happened around 8:45 p.m.
Henderson was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
