A man was hit and killed by an F train, bringing the Brooklyn subway line to a screeching halt for hours.
Police say a 28-year-old man died after he was hit by a southbound F line subway train.
Emergency crews rushed to the line on Seventh Avenue and Ninth Street in Park Slope at around 9:30 a.m. Monday. The train was forced to stop for nearly two hours in between Fourth Avenue and Seventh Avenue with the passengers still on it.
Police say that everyone on board is OK, but they had to turn off electricity before going underground to investigate and evacuate the commuters.
The F line has since been restored. Police are investigating whether the death was accidental or intentional.
