Man sought in shooting of two inside Brooklyn Monarch event venue

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect accused of shooting two people multiple times.

The shooting took place inside an East Williamsburg event venue Friday around 2:30 a.m.

Police say they responded to a 911 call for an assault at 23 Meadow St.

The address of the incident belongs to Brooklyn Monarch, an event venue that can hold up to 1,500 people.

When officers arrived, they found two men — including a 33‑year‑old — shot multiple times by an unidentified attacker.

The 33‑year‑old was struck in the thigh, while the second man was shot in the left arm, hip, and buttocks.

Police say afterwards, the shooter fled the scene.

Both men were transported to a nearby hospital, where they are in stable condition.
