A Brooklyn man was able to turn his time in prison into inspiration for his art.
Guy Woodard is an illustrator who used to counterfeit documents. The counterfeiting led him to a life in and out of prison.
During his time in prison, Woodard began drawing again. He did not have access to traditional art supplies, so Woodard began to showcase his intricate ballpoint pen drawings.
Woodard's work is on display at the Greenpoint Reformed Church in Williamsburg.
