The NYPD is searching for the man who they say tried to abduct a young girl while she was on her way to school in Brownsville.
According to authorities, the 10-year-old girl ran away from a man who approached her Tuesday morning on Dumont Avenue near Rockaway Avenue.
Police say the girl was not hurt, and she made it safely back home after fleeing from the stranger.
The suspect is described as a black man in his 30s with bulging eyes. He had short dreadlocks and was wearing a blue shirt and a blue coat.
Police say that they will be looking at any surveillance video in the area that may have captured the attempted abduction.
