The man who attacked police with a machete in Times Square has pleaded guilty to terrorism.

Trevor Bickford attacked three officers on New Year's Eve 2022. One of the officers shot him in the shoulder to take him down.

The NYPD says Bickford traveled from Maine specifically to kill as many uniformed people as possible, choosing the extremely crowded Times Square on New Years as his kill zone.

Police describe the attack as "jihadist," saying Bickford expressed radical Islamic extremism during his attack.

He'll be sentenced in April and could get anywhere from 60 to 120 years.
