7h agoDemonstrators in Westchester joined others across the nation Saturday to demand stricter gun laws in the wake of recent mass shootings.
Hundreds of students, parents and teachers showed up in front of the Senator Bernard G. Gordon Justice Building in Peekskill to make their voices heard.
Rallygoers said although there are more people demonstrating and marching, the mass shootings continue to increase.
Some said they now worry about going to any public place to run errands, worrying that they might be victims of gun violence.
Others expressed frustration toward lawmakers on both the state and federal level, wondering if the political leaders are even listening to their demands.
The first March For Our Lives nationwide rallies were held in 2018 after a school shooting in Parkland, Florida. Fourteen students and three staff members were killed. Another 17 were injured.
