A mariachi band was seen playing music while walking down the streets of Riverdale Wednesday before performing shows at three local businesses.

The "Mariachi Walk" is part of Riverdale Restaurant Week, where multiple eateries in the area donate part of their proceeds to filling the community fridge.

News 12 was told the neighborhood is looking to bring awareness to food insecurity while supporting local businesses.

The mariachi band was performing at Metate, Cocina Chente and Tobala.

Riverdale Restaurant Week runs until Saturday.
