Mayor Eric Adams hit the streets of the city on Thursday night to host a community conversation at M.S. 88 in Park Slope.
He took questions on a range of topics including city schools, housing and the migrant crisis.
Adams said during the event that New York residents should be asking Washington to fund the migrants in the city.
"Taxpayers should not be picking up the tab of a national crisis. New York City's taxpayers should not be paying for this because it's going to impact us long term,” he said.
The community conversation event follows a series of town halls hosted by Adams last year. They are also being held in all the boroughs.
