Mayor Bill de Blasio has spoken out about the sex crimes charges facing a Brooklyn Tech teacher, calling the situation "disgusting."
According to investigators, Sean Shaynak took a 15-year-old to a nude beach in New Jersey without her parents' consent, performed a sex act on an 18-year-old student and sent photos of his private parts to four other students, including two minors.
"This is someone who clearly should not have been a teacher, and I guarantee you he will never teach in a classroom again," de Blasio said. "It's absolutely unacceptable, and he will suffer plenty of consequences for it."
Shaynak was first charged a month ago with victimizing six girls after allegedly sending nude pictures, but he's now facing more charges after further allegations came to light. The added charges include kidnapping and committing a criminal sex act.
