Mayor Bill de Blasio visited the first mosque that became a vaccination site in the Bronx Saturday where leaders of the Muslim faith encouraged others to get their shots.
Al-Masjidu Adam Community Life Center in Crotona has 125 COVID-19 doses each day.
Leaders say the neighborhood is underserved, which is why they wanted to work with the city to get a vaccination site.
The site is giving out the Johnson & Johnson shot.
Appointments are encouraged but walk-ins won't be turned away.
