A coastal storm will slide by just offshore today. Most of the snow stays out to sea, but the storm will still crank up the winds across New Jersey, with northerly gusts around 25 to 30 miles per hour. Clouds will be tough to shake this afternoon, and while most areas stay dry, we can’t rule out a stray flurry, especially to the south and east.
Aside from the wind, the big headline is the cold. Highs will struggle to get out of the teens and low 20s under mostly cloudy skies.
Even with the bitter chill, we’re not expecting any major travel issues or delays during the day.
Temperatures do moderate a bit by Monday, climbing back into the lower 30s.
Eyes are on the rest of the week tracking two systems which could bring some snow. Another shot of Arctic air arrives heading into next weekend.
