Another mostly cloudy and cool day Wednesday will become a sunnier and warmer day on Thursday.
The remnants of Hurricane Helene will finally push offshore overnight, taking the cooler and cloudy weather with it.
Highs have been stuck in the 60s the last few days, a few degrees cooler than average.
Highs will go above average starting Thursday and through the weekend.
There will be some leftover high thin clouds that will prevent a dramatic warm-up on Thursday, but highs will approach the mid-70s away from the water.
A full sunny sky Friday with a warmer south wind will bring highs closer to the 80-degree mark.
A cold front Saturday is expected to bring very few clouds and delay the cooler air. Saturday's highs may even reach 80 degrees as a result.
The cold front will eventually knock highs down temperatures to the low-70s on Sunday.
A much stronger storm will pass close by on Monday, sparking a few showers and even a thunderstorm or two.
The timing is still shifting but expect a six-hour window of unsettled weather before a noticeable shift in colder and windier conditions.
It will be breezy Monday night through Wednesday with the first significant fall front of the season, bringing in the coldest air of the season so far. Lows may dip down into the 40s for Wednesday and Thursday mornings next week.
