The weather for Memorial Day Weekend will feel more like November than May. Instead of sunshine and warmth, expect cloudy, damp, and unusually cool weather with the heaviest rain setting up tonight through Sunday morning.

Tonight
The rain will continue and so will the raw feel from breezy winds and chilly temperatures, falling into the upper 40s and near 50 degrees. There will be a brief break from the rainfall overnight, but heavy rain is expected on Sunday morning.

Sunday
The heaviest rain arrives on Sunday, with heavy rain and gusty wind expected early, becoming light rain with less wind later in the day. High temperatures will struggle to hit 60 degrees.

Memorial Day
Memorial Day brings a slight improvement, but clouds remain the dominant feature. Rain is expected in the morning, but will become more scattered later in the day. Temperatures trend warmer, climbing into the upper 70s, but the day still leans more partly to mostly cloudy.

Marine Forecast

Boaters should be prepared for rough and unsettled conditions on the Long Island Sound through the weekend. A strengthening easterly wind will create choppy waters, with waves building to around 4 to 6 feet and frequent gusts near 30 knots, especially late Saturday into Sunday. Periods of rain and reduced visibility will increase hazards, and Small Craft Advisories are in effect. Conditions gradually improve on Memorial Day as winds ease, but it will still be somewhat unsettled early before calmer weather develops later
