Sinkhole swallows van whole in Morris Park neighborhood
A large sinkhole opened up on Radcliffe Avenue in the Bronx, swallowing a parked van and leaving a gaping hole in the street.

4h agoA large sinkhole opened up on Radcliffe Avenue in the Bronx, swallowing a parked van and leaving a gaping hole in the street. The Department of Environmental Protection still has crews on the scene this morning.
A large sinkhole emerged in the neighborhood Monday, something that locals are unfortunately used to at this point. Residents say sinkholes have happened in the area earlier this year and last year.
No injuries have been reported.
Officials are still unsure what caused the sinkhole to open. The DEP says water has been returned to all but 20 households who lost access during the repairs. Water-to-go stations have been set up around around the neighborhood.
No word yet on how long this repair will take or when this street will open back up.
