For the rest of the afternoon, there will be times of clouds and sun with just the slight chance of showers. Temperatures will be mild, reaching the low to mid-70s for most, except along the coast where it will stay in the 60s. There is a better chance of rain later this evening and overnight. There could be more fog overnight as well, especially near the coast.
Monday
The day may get off to a foggy start, but clouds will depart and the sun will return. It will be cooler than average with highs only in the mid-60s.
Wednesday and Thursday
Another storm system is expected to bring a steadier round of rain to the New York City area beginning Wednesday afternoon. The wettest weather currently looks most likely from Wednesday night through Thursday, with periods of rain and possible downpours at times. Rainfall totals could reach around a half inch to over an inch in isolated spots, depending on how the storm develops.
Friday into next weekend
The storm may be slow to move away, meaning lingering showers and cloudy skies could continue into Friday and possibly part of next weekend.
