Officials are hoping a new venue at Brooklyn's newest shopping center will help it become a major shopping and entertainment destination.
The Alamo Drafthouse theater will officially open its doors to residents on Friday at City Point, the largest food, shopping and entertainment center in Downtown Brooklyn.
The theater features seven screens, food, drinks served to guests before the start of films and a bar with 40 beers on tap.
Currently, Century 21 and the theater are the only open businesses at City Point; however, Target is scheduled to open next month. Stores like Trader Joe's, Fortina and Dekalb Market Hall will be opening next year.
