The MTA says bedbugs were found on three N line cars and in workers' lockers.

According to the Transit Workers Union, the problem started back in May when the bugs were found in MTA workers' lockers in the Flatbush terminal.

The lockers were fumigated, but the problem has sprung up again as the bugs were found on three N line cars and workers' lockers in Astoria. The cars were taken out of service and brought to Coney Island to be fumigated.

The MTA says train riders should not feel panicked. They say the problem seems to be confined to conductors' seat cushions, lockers and crew rooms.

The Transit Workers Union has asked the MTA to inspect the entire N and Q fleet, and to fumigate if necessary. The union says MTA management has agreed.
