Brooklyn residents and community leaders say they will protest the MTA?s proposal to put tolls on the East River bridges to help fill its budget gap.
Some Albany politicians say that tolls on the East River bridges are the best option for the MTA to stay afloat.
Gov. David Paterson is negotiating a deal that would help the transit agency recover from enormous amounts of debt. The drafted legislation and a place to leave comments can be found online.
