Nazareth High School girls' basketball team is two wins away from a state federation title despite a record of 4-15 in the CHSAA AA Division.
Last season, the team graduated five seniors who are now playing Division I college basketball. With that much turnover, head coach Ron Kelly expected this to be a rebuilding year.
"We are a very resilient team. We've had a very rough season and we used those games to just encourage us and now here we are going to the federation," said Kelley.
Nazareth will play Friday night in Albany against Staten Island Tech of the PSAL league.
