The gates are closed at G&S Restaurant and Lounge Monday evening after a shooting over the weekend killed a 28-year-old man.
Investigators say the double shooting happened at 4386 White Plains Road Saturday morning.
A woman who asked to remain anonymous told News 12 the frightening moments she lived through inside the lounge.
"I was just having a good time, and I just heard commotion, and that was about it. Heard gunshots, the whole place was vibrating afterwards. I saw people running out and then I ran out, too," she said.
“It's a surprise because it's never like that. There's always people having fun,” said a neighbor named Joshua Epps.
Inside the lounge, a 38-year-old man was found with gunshot wounds to his chest, left arm and left leg. He is expected to recover.
Meanwhile, a 28-year-old man died after a gunshot wound to his chest.
The barricades from the weekend have been taken down and police presence has faded, leaving senior citizens like Virginia Sanders concerned.
“We have a senior center right around the corner. And it's a lot of people were scared to come out now because of the different violence,” she said.
Police confirmed to News 12 the identity of the victim has not been shared pending notification of the family first.
