A new app gives landlords and tenants more control over monitoring apartment heat during the winter months.
The app, Heat Seek NYC, lets renters and landlords see if the temperature has fallen below a certain level in their building. It can also be tracked on the app's website.
The pilot program for the app will start in at least five apartment buildings in Brooklyn.
Heat Seek NYC was the winner of the NYC BigApps 2014 contest.
