A new food pantry and parent resource center were opened on Thursday in Brownsville to help support the community.
Partnership With Children teamed up with the Riverdale Avenue Middle School to make this food pantry a reality – its goal is to make sure kids are fueled up to learn.
"There's everything from cereal to basic food, dish washing soap, and we partner with community partners across the city to help stock these food pantries and help our young people thrive,” said Annie Cleary, chief development officer of Partnership With Children.
The parent resource center, which is inside of the school, is designed to provide wall-to-wall services that help connect families with what they need.
Riverdale Avenue Middle School says they plan to work further to foster a better environment focused on improving both mental and physical health and wellness.
