Newly redeveloped outdoor space in Sunset Park will add the neighborhood to the list of places with waterfront views of lower Manhattan.
Sunset Park Restoration will be holding an official ribbon-cutting ceremony Saturday for the 11-acre Bush Terminal Park, which features two ball fields.
Residents say they have been calling for a park in the area since the 1990s.
Recently, residents started a Facebook group and have been reaching out to government organizations.
