Sheepshead Bay High School is enjoying a renaissance after years of poor graduation rates and an administrative revolving door.

The high school was once labeled one of the city's most dangerous. In four years, four principals resigned and teachers spent their days policing students rather than teaching them. The school's grim outlook changed when Principal Reesa Levy and Assistant Principal Craig Edwards took the helm. They're responsible for the miraculous turnaround and the shaping of 3,000 young minds.

Under the new administration, violence had decreased at Sheepshead Bay High School and more than half of the students graduate on time. Educators say while they've made progress, they're striving to constantly improve the school.
