A new vaccination site is set to open for Bronx residents in Co-Op City Thursday.
Co-Op City is the largest co-operative housing development, with about 45,000 residents.
Mayor Bill de Blasio says this move will be a key part in reaching the city’s goal of getting 5 million people vaccinated by June.
Co-Op City residents say they are relieved to hear that the vaccination site will be available to their community.
The site opens on Thursday at 10:30 a.m., but normal operation hours are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Appointments must be made before getting the vaccine.
