Temperature drop makes for treacherous roadways in Brooklyn.

This year's New York International Auto Show kicked off Friday at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in Manhattan.
Aside from high-tech, expensive prototypes, the show also features more utilitarian vehicles, like Ford's newest police cruiser.
Ford says its new police responder is the first ever hybrid-powered pursuit vehicle.
Ford spokesman Stephen Tyler says it can save about $3,900 over a conventional police car used for two eight-hour shifts a day.
It includes customizations for police officers, like seats that allow room for the bulky duty belts and knife-proof seat backs in case a suspect smuggles in a weapon.
"The interior is purpose built for police use," Tyler says.
