Two men have accused a priest from the Brooklyn Diocese of sexual assault, according to the New York Daily News.
Reports say allegations were filed Friday in Brooklyn State Supreme Court against the late Reverend John Abrams.
Abrams was accused of misconduct in 2007, when he was defrocked. He died in 2008.
News 12 is told that the Diocese of Brooklyn has not been served with an order at this time and would not comment further on the allegations.
A spokesperson said in part, "The Diocese has also instituted widespread changes....those changes include a zero tolerance policy in which any clergy member credibly accused of sexual abuse of a minor is permanently removed from a ministry."
