The Monday morning commute was frustrating for many Brooklyn residents who faced flooded roads left behind by a nor'easter.
Police closed the right lane of a stretch of the Belt Parkway, causing traffic to back up for miles. Other roads were similarly affected by the water.
Straphangers also endured delays because standing water lingered on tracks. The S Shuttle to Times Square was suspended, forcing commuters to take buses. The Long Island Rail Road reported 30-minute delays, and many trains were diverted to the Atlantic Avenue Station in Brooklyn instead of going directly to Manhattan.
The remnants of the nor'easter didn't spare pedestrians. News 12 Brooklyn witnessed several people losing their hats and umbrellas to gusty winds.
