City officials say the popular "Pokémon Go" game can lead people to the homes of sex offenders.
Sen. Jeff Klein says a new plan aims to automatically delete any Pokémon creatures near where an offender lives.
Klein also wants to ban higher-level offenders from playing the game.
Bronx parents agree that the game can be dangerous, saying it's easy for kids to get distracted and not know where they are.
"While children believe they are out to catch a Pokémon, what might really be lurking could be a predator instead of a Pikachu," Klein said. "We want our children to have safe fun, but it makes no sense at all to give dangerous sexual predators a virtual road map to where our children congregate."
