The New York City Health Department has unveiled the top baby names of 2022 in the city. 

Families once again stuck with tried-and-true names. 

The top boy name was Liam, and the top girl name was Emma. 

For girls, the top five names were Emma, Mia, Olivia, Sophia and Leah. For boys, the top 5 names were Liam, Noah, Ethan, Lucas and David. 

According to the DOH, Liam has been the No. 1 name for boys since 2016 in NYC, and Emma has been the No. 1 name for girls in NYC since 2017.
