The Department of Emergency Management released a public service announcement on what to do in the event of a nuclear attack.
The PSA comes after a survey reported New Yorkers felt least prepared for a no-notice event, despite the likelihood of a nuclear attack happening being very low.
The steps include getting inside, heading to a basement or middle of the building and removing all outer clothing. Monitoring updates from the government and media are also important steps to consider.
