The 10-month-old baby girl who died in Red Hook Sunday may have been left unattended in a bathtub, police say.
Officers responded to a home on Henry Street around 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
Police say EMS workers attempted to resuscitate the unconscious and unresponsive Meilani Hernandez at the scene, but she was pronounced dead at Methodist Hospital.
Authorities say they are investigating the death as suspicious, and they say it appears that the infant may have been left unsupervised in the tub with her 3-year-old brother.
The child's parents are being questioned by detectives. So far, no charges have been filed.
