To the deadly shooting that took place on the platform of the Mount Eden subway station on Monday. The NYPD says they have a minor in custody who's connected to that shooting. Here's another look at the suspects. Police had said they were looking for cops say gunfire erupted on that platform. The bullets hitting six people. One of the victims later died from his injuries. Investigators believe the shooting was gang related between two rival groups and innocent victims were caught in the crossfire. Police have no word on how that minor is involved but they asked bronze sites to give them a call if they know where any of these suspects may be.

Developing news tonight as one person is dead and five others injured. This after shots were fired on a subway platform in Mount Eden News's Heather Fordham joining us now from the scene where police continue their investigation tonight, Heather Amanda and Kurt that afternoon commute turned to chaos when at least one shot was fired aboard an uptown for train as it pulled into the station here at Mount Eden Avenue. While that gunfire spilled out onto the platform leaving six victims in its tracks. The NYPD telling us tonight this shooting was not random when I heard the scream to child and then I heard boo boo boo boo boo boo and I just down in the matter of seconds. Efrain Feliciano went from waiting for the train to running for his life. I read the afternoon commute turned catastrophic on Monday when a gunshot was fired on an uptown four train bound for Mount Eden Ave. And more shots were fired while on the platform and that's when and where our victims were shot, bullets hit six people including a 35 year old man who was killed. Police say it all started when two groups of teens got into a fight while aboard the train then spilled out onto the platform where gunfire, the woman was blowing here a lot of blood. While transit crimes are down across the city, the subway system is safe. This is not the norm. This is not indicative of what goes on in the subway system. Riders feel their safety is in jeopardy. Every time they swipe into the system always got to be on your guard when you ride the subway, no matter what the NYPD. Now sending a message to the shooter, you are now nypd's most wanted and you have the greatest detectives in the world looking for you. We suggest you turn yourself in but you're not going to make it. And right now, the NYPD is looking at surveillance video from the subway station here on Mount Eden Avenue in an effort to identify that suspect. As we continue to follow the latest in a deadly Mount Eden subway station shooting, police have released a photo of the second suspect they are looking for in connection to that incident. News twelve's Valerie Ryan joins us now from the 44th precinct with the details on a teenager. Police are searching for police say the two suspects in this fatal shooting are teenagers, a 16 year old who has been arrested and charged and police are still looking for a 15 year old suspect, Maurice Stewart. Take a good look at your screen, Kaz Daughtry NYPD, deputy commissioner posted this on X formerly known as Twitter. This wanted flyer shows the 15 year old suspect who is still on the run just less than a week ago. The two suspects were waiting on the platform of an uptown four train at the Mount Eden station. They began shooting, hitting six victims and killing one of them. 35 year old obed Beltran Sanchez. Now the 16 year old in police custody is being charged with one count of murder and five counts of attempted murder while police are still looking for 15 year old Maurice Stewart. Meanwhile, in other news tonight, the manhunt is on for the men wanted for opening fire on the Mount Eden subway platform yesterday. As police say they've identified one person of interest they're working tonight to find the other two. Take a look here. These are two of the three men that police say are responsible for opening fire on a crowded subway. Yesterday afternoon, the NYPD believes it was gang related between two rival groups and innocent victims were caught in the crossfire. If you can imagine a chaotic scene, you have a crowded train pulling onto a crowded platform. One shot being fired. Now everybody's trying to scramble to get off the platform. One person was killed, five others were injured. At least one shot was fired inside the subway train car. And when the doors opened, the gunfire continued onto the platform. If you have any information, you're being asked to give crime stoppers a call. The founding president of the Passenger Advocacy Group Passengers United sounding off following this latest transit shooting. I'm appalled with what the chief of transit. Police said that shootings are rare in the subway system about three weeks ago. There was a shooting at the Franklin Avenue subway station in Brooklyn where a man was deceased. So violence in the subway system is happening every day. People are being robbed, they're being slashed, they're being stabbed. So this incident today where six people got shot, one is deceased. This is just a tragedy in our subway system. We need leadership from our elected officials across the city and state. And he went on to suggest that elected officials should work to place additional police officers at subway stations on a 24 hour detail.
