Police say a 17-year-old was fatally shot outside of a corner store in Crown Heights. 

According to neighbors, the victim is from this area and lived nearby the scene of the crime. Police have blocked off the intersection of Saratoga Avenue and Prospect Place. 

News 12 spoke to local residents off-camera who say that the situation started with a group of three to four teenagers arguing outside of the store. They say things then took a turn for the worst and the victim was shot in the torso.

Police say the 17-year-old was taken to Interfaith Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.

No arrests have been made at this time.
