NYPD: 18 taken into custody following stabbing on Randalls Island

Police say a 911 call led them to discover a 24-year-old man with a stab wound to the neck around 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the scene.

A man is recovering from a stabbing on Randalls Island.
Police say a 911 call led them to discover a 24-year-old man with a stab wound to the neck around 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the scene.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he is stable.
Police say 18 people were taken into custody. Twelve of them were issued criminal court summons and released.
Police could not confirm if the victim or suspects were migrants at this time.
